Face to Face GP appointments in Covid times

GPs are STILL seeing patients here at Whipton, however before booking the appointment we will discuss your problem with you, either on the TELEPHONE or via Patient Triage, to make sure in the current pandemic that the benefits of seeing you outweigh the risks.

Our receptionist will book one of the telephone consultations available that day or if your problem can wait a few days we can arrange telephone appointments in advance. Once all the appointments for the day have gone you can still book one in advance or call in at 8.30 the next day.

Alternatively you can send us a Patient Triage. We will aim to deal with all e-consults received each day on the same day except if its received in the late afternoon in which case they will be managed the next day.

Of course if the problem is urgent or an emergency we will speak with you as quickly as we can on that day.

We are sorry for any frustrations that people may feel not having open access to face to face GP appointments but we hope you understand that in the current covid pandemic the safety and protection of our patients and staff is paramount.
