Lost, stolen or misplaced medication

Medications such as strong painkillers, sleeping tablets and relaxants can be abused and so become very valuable to those who can get hold of them.

Make sure you keep your prescriptions and medicines safe.

Do not share your medication with other people, this can not only be dangerous as it may not be safe, it is also illegal.

If you lose your medication or prescription, or suspect it has been stolen, we may ask you to report this to the police if it is a medication that can be abused.

The practice policy is that lost or stolen medication from the list below WILL NOT be replaced.

Please respect our staff

• Our reception and administrative staff are to always follow this policy and they are not authorised to make any exceptions.
• Staff are not allowed to interrupt the duty GP during surgery.
• This policy is put in place to protect our patients and our staff, and we will not tolerate any abuse to or of our staff as they are following policy.
